Having another deranged narcissist enter the fray isn’t even the least bit funny or entertaining. The very best response to him is to simply turn away and hope he gets help.

Just sounds like one more instance of two countries separated by a common language. Backup lights on the west side of the pond. Bonnet, windscreen, boot, and reverse lights on the east side.
What’s the shelf life of KKs? Do they hold up well when frozen?
So anxious to try these out, but I can’t find toast at my grocery store anywhere. Is that yet another item made scarce by the virus?
I’ll take a wild guess 90-some% is fishing for drugs. One of the biggest moves we could make is de-criminalizing all drugs, just as Portugal did in 2001. Crimes should be based on behavior, not possession of something for personal consumption. Take away the real motivation for stopping someone for an improper lane…
Menagerie of mangy mammals?
Mostly off topic, but has anyone else noticed recently that the glue used on the paper cover on Whole Foods 365 peanut butter now allows removing the cover cleanly, instead of maddeningly being nearly impossible to get all the paper off for so long?
“Is that wrong?”
“At this stage we really need everybody manning their stations and prioritizing coronavirus response work” which is why Herr Trump has decided to disband the task force. We’ll think another excuse for the ex-members to avoid testifying later.
Yeah, I get that for the referrals to specific items that are on sale, but it makes extended review articles next to worthless for me. I’d rather see ads and get honest reviews than puff pieces incentivized for positive spin.

Be honest, is there a kickback involved here? This sounds an awful lot like a subsidized article. Having said that over many decades I’ve often purchased refurbished electronics, and have never regretted it. If it’s a legit manufacturer refurb there’s very little risk, at least of it not working out of the box as it’s…

Which would all imply we haven’t been detected by a civilization able to reach us with destructive capacity. Consistent with my tentative belief we haven’t been visited.
It’s certainly possible that the earth has been identified by intelligent beings as a potential life incubator. Less likely that they’re close enough to have detected signals indicating our technology. I’ll believe they’ve made the effort to physically visit us when I see compelling evidence, which so far I haven’t.
Yes, and I’ll believe some civilization has done that when I see it.
Ok, add 50 years to my radio signal estimate. That’s 75 years to get there and 75 for them to get here if they set off immediately. Still a very small bubble of the universe for it to have been seen by a sufficiently advanced civilization brave enough to risk meeting us.
Yes, all true. You could also say that we are able to travel back in our observations as far as the time it takes light to get here from distant locations. I was referring to the sort of time traveler Hawking invited to his famous party.
So where are they?
That’s an if without a reality. If it were true then where are they? Flecks on a Navy radar? Let’s just say I’m not convinced.
Right, so where are they? It’s like the argument that time travel may be possible. Fine, so where are the visitors from the future warning us about coming catastrophes, or cashing in on billion $ lotteries?
That wouldn’t overcome the fundamental limit on the speed of light, which both restricts how far our radio signals have traveled in a hundred years so they’d know to even bother with us, or how long it would take them to get here from wherever they are.
