Probably not, but if they’ve even detected our existence they’re likely really into social isolation either by choice or the sheer hurdle of the mote of many light years distance.

Yeah, in and out of the freezer is bad. Also best to take the vacuum sealed bag out of the freezer the day before needed to let them reach room temp before breaking the seal. What you really don’t want is condensation on the beans. I keep the beans being used in an airtight jar in the cupboard.
I totally see why some would think it’s satire, which is why I put the “nuts” comment in. It’s 100% true. Coffee is one of my great pleasures so I try to maximize it, and the effort pays off every day. I’ll offer a couple of suggestions. Don’t know where you’re located but in the US there are numerous roasters who…
I use a Behmor Brazen brewer primarily because it allows adjusting the precise brewing temp in 1 deg increments from 190-210. Mostly I leave it at my preferred temp, but for some beans changing it makes a very big difference. Also, I use a 1/100th gram scale. Not because I measure to 1/100th but because that allows…
So a Dr. has lost his sense of taste and smell. Pretty sure that’s a symptom...
If not already mentioned in the comments, I saw an article that said those blackout masks the airlines hand out turned upside down can be used over the mouth and nose. I just happened to have one and it definitely fits the bill. The key being the main purpose of the mask is to keep you from blowing out virus laden…

My latest killer ice cream combo: 1 scoop each of B & J’s Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Haagen-Dazs Irish Cream Brownie.
Came to point that out. Teleportation of hardware via downloading files still not achievable.
No.
Another cheddar hybrid that’s a favorite, this one’s a cross of cheddar and parmesan. It’s very good.
Came to post this one. I saw Ralph Lauren’s in Toronto once and I was speechless. I’ve been in lots of museums around the world. That car in person was one of the finest works of art and sculptures I’ve ever seen or probably will ever see. The fact that it’s drivable was almost too much. Like a fine horse, my god…
Vacuum freeze coffee beans. Lots of roasters you can order from online have free shipping over a certain order size, so I order 4-6 pounds and freeze them. Thaw a pound as needed to keep in a sealed jar. I’m quite picky about coffee and detect no taste degradation at least up to 8 weeks.. Another one is bread. Single…
Oldie but goodie supercut I find a bit more entertaining and revealing.
Would you rather look back and say we really didn’t need to do all that, or that so many died we could have prevented if we’d only done more sooner?
There are many unknowns but none of them should be taken to encourage being less aggressive in trying to contain the spread of the virus. What’s worked best in the places where infection rates are declining is quick, intense, extreme action to block the spread. We have been doing the exact opposite.
Bear = bare
Agree, Emojis are not good for communicating important medical info. Nice of Lifehacer to support the hover tranlator, but that’s hardly universal, and not on Twitter. Minimizing potential confusion and misunderstanding is priority #1, and this fails that test.
Don’t know, maybe there are corporate “micro climates” of how it’s pronounced. Over the years I’ve heard gif but it was always from the less technical folks. Don’t mean that to disparage real techs who have always heard it as gif, just reporting my experience. Like a lot of words if you “grew up with it” then that’s…
