I rented an Ecoboost Flex once, loaded it full of sound equipment and drove it through the Appalachian mountains. It was impressive and got 13MPG. My copilot and I started calling it the eco-or-boost. I agree that it totally blends and is thusly a sleeper.

I commute 40 or so miles a day in a PHEV. I charge at home and for free at work. (L2 AC chargers) I’ve put about 20 gallons in gas in my car since May. I did take a 300 mile road trip this summer but otherwise I commute on electrons. PHEVs really just get it done for most people. 

I’d buy a Cadillac EV PLC. I'd even trade in my existing Cadillac ELR.

FWD cars are fine. 200hp cars are fine. Not everyone needs RWD/AWD and 500hp.

I’ve always tinted cars all the way round until my current car. Living in Florida with sensitive eyes will do that. Never missed a maintenance item. Somewhere out there is a B13 Sentra SE-R with half a million miles, tinted windshield, and regular maintenance (for at least the first 300K or so).
