Yep. the Quad 4 entered production in 87. The Oldsmobile Aerotech was testing it before 87. I just can’t see how GM designed such a cool little car and gave it the iron duke when the Quad 4 was in development. Just think about how cool the Fiero would have been with a 140HP base model and a 190HP turbocharged GT model.

I think the Fiero needed the Quad4.

It needed the LS4.

So VWs are getting better?

Hopefully this isn't the new ZDX.

I got to the end before anyone even hinted at the Phaeton. I'll find one of these soon for peanuts and daily drive it. I'm not scared of VW maintenance!

After yesterday's Toyota van, I never would have guessed that there is a more easy ND choice, yet here we are.

It's a PHEV. I when there's no more electrons, find a gas pump.

Go sit in an ELR and then in a Volt and tell me which seats are better. Also, when looking for a Volt, I found the the cost is similar and you’d be surprised on how many more ELRs were garage kept vs the Volt.

Yep, overpriced because it's a consignment.

The ELR might be a great used bargain. During the opening salvo of COVID 19 when nearly everything was shut down, I got an ELR for $20K. Original sticker was $81K. Mine had 32,000 miles. When I was looking, Volts with similar mileage were nowhere to be found. Similarly priced Volts had double the mileage. So I bought

I've seen 4 other than mine. The first one I mentioned above, one in the same city as me (might be the same one as above) and one on a trip to Florida. Most people mistake it for the CTS.

The ELR is totally underrated. In mid 2019, I went on the hunt for a used Volt to replace a Prius. My office had just added electric chargers at my office. I also moved to a new house with an electric panel in the garage. I was on a search for a low mileage sub $25K PHEV.

Agreed The C5 seems ordinary for modern cars. But compared to a C4, is a huge step up.

Optima does not make a battery to fit. It goes under the rear seat and has non-standard terminals. I’ve also used Optima batteries in the past and they were the only thing that didn’t fail on my boat.

I had that happen when I bought a Toyota in 2012. All was good, but when I got to the finance manager “his paperwork” showed the extended warranty on there. I stood up shook his hand and thanked him, then turned to leave. He said, “are you not going to buy this car over an extra $31/mo?” I replied, “Yep.” Amazingly,

How is that? Usually safety systems get a discount.

That’s a broad statement. I have a GM car that routinely gets the collision alert activated due to typical Atlanta drivers. I’ve rented a few other GM products this past year and I wasn’t sure the collision alert was working. Only one of the rented cars did I have an alert. It was a Buick in LA. Might be the traffic,

Something in that article about insurance discount. I'll take annoying 90% for the discount.

I haven’t had a B13 Sentra with the GA-16 engine since 1997. The last SR-20 I had departed my stable in 2012. I'm about 90% sure the engine in this car is the GA-16. It's not a bad engine, but the SR makes more power out of the box and has way more aftermarket support. As for a cheap track car the Nissan B13 platform
