I’ve heard about leaving a manual in gear, but when I grew up, my dad and his dad taught me to always leave the transmission in neutral and set the parking brake. I've always done it that way.

It used to mean that if the car stayed put, your brakes were properly adjusted.

Hve you ever seen inside the trunk of a PLC from the ‘70s? There’s room in that trunk for all sorts of skulls and sculls.

One of the first trucks I drove on my own was my Great-granddad’s farm truck. It was mid 70's Ford with a column shift manual.

I’m not saying a short bed is useless for work (unless it’s one of those Explorer SportTrack size beds), but I do think that the long bed is a useful tool. If one wants an old f100 or c10 to restomod, by all means pick a short bed one.

NP for this one. I’m probably in the minority here, but I think there are some good looking long bed trucks. This is one that comes the mind. Also the IH C series of similar vintage looks good with a long bed.

When looking for used cars, I look at the tires first. If someone has a mis-matched set of off brand tires, I'm not sure I can trust anything else they say.

Why would I buy this BMW when I have a perfectly good MERCury Villiager with the light up grill.

I'm driving a rented Camry that I picked out on purpose. It's a car that I don't need to worry about. It does all the car things really well.

Don’t dealers make most of their money on service and warranty work? It seems that they could cut staff and just post the lowest no haggle price on the car and this would make all dealer experiences better.

Yes, this! All the manufacturers are meeting his standards. In my field, if my work meets standards by an inch or a mile, that's all that matters. I see this as no difference.

Henry Ford ran for political office as a conservative. He did lean liberal on some topics. Who knows what he would think of Trump's tweets.

Activity kill you? Old school design? Power?

I'd honestly go buy an S2K right now if they still built them. I could use a new fun car and if I can get a new one with financing and a warranty, that works.

I can't read this right now. I'm watching a Nightwish video.

“Number 6 will blow your mind!"

I was wondering if this Nissan had anything to do with that. *Puts on tin foil hat.

The push button is cheaper, manufacturers can charge more for this option. They can also charge more for the replacement and reprogramming of the new fob. Also, without the keys dangling from the steering column, there's less of a chance your house key will lacerate your knee when an inattentive driver rear ends you

Does a fuel evening car that costs more same more in the long run? I run total costs of ownership calculations on all my major purchases. I daily a Prius but have a fun car, because I saved money in fuel by daily driving a Prius.

I met a girl with an Xterra. We had kids. She balked at getting a minivan until I showed her how to load a car seat in a power slider minivan. Minivans make so much sense for so many but have a stigma. Other than towing, I can’t think of a reason to pick any 3 row SUV over an Odyssey or a Sienna.
