I'd love to have one of those, but they don't sell them to the US.

Nissan needs to put the extended range Leaf platform under a CUV and bring it to the USA as a new "brand" (let's just say Renault) to reset the $7500 tax credit. I think that might fix it.

WYWH is one of my favorite albums. I enjoyed the country take on that song. Thanks internet stranger. Have a star.

For $66K I can finally be Tony Stark, since he's dead. Spoiler Alert.

Let’s assume that's why it's for sale, now.

I’m thinking of an Everyman car made by a non-luxury brand. Think Fiero, Sky, MR2. Do it all with a transplant from a FWD family car. Interior parts bin stuff. No carbon fiber, nothing crazy, nothing exotic, 17" wheels. Get all the replacement parts at AutoZone. Regular gas, no crazy maintenance.

Aftermarket coolers use TECs. I didn’t check the caddy I rented. Probably just blowing A/C into the seats.

When it breaks down. “Iwould get an Alfa 4C and something to tow it home in the case it breaks down.”

Think of how exciting it will be to worry about it!

Most of the guys I see driving Vettes could stand to shed those 10 pounds instead of deleting power folding mirrors.

And on the 9th day god made TECs and said they are good! Add them to a fan and place them under all your leather seats!

Agreed! My next car will have cooled seats. After having a rental with cooled seats for 2 weeks earlier this year, they were so nice, even when it was cool outside. I could care less to have heated seats, but I understand why people like them.

In other news, IndyCar is finally going to catch up with a production 1912 Cadillac and install startes in the cars. I never understood why they didn't allow starters.

I'm currently opposed to OnStar. Why must we put that on every car? Oh yeah, additional revenue stream.

I'd totally daily one of these!

I think a high percentage of commenters here drive cars that fit this description (where’s long Voyager when you need him). 50% of my cars do. I have a colleague with an M3 and everytime I have ridden with him, he gets in and switches off the traction control, effectively making his newish car behave like my RSX.

OK, here’s my anecdote: I use CC religiously to avoid speeding tickets. My previous daily driver had no nannies. No ABS, manual transmission, built in 1993. Yadda yadda yadda. Driving in the rain with the CC on is all good EXCEPT if you hit a deep puddle with only 1 tire. The puddle will tend to cause the car to yaw

I’ve had pretty good luck with most of the cars I've owned save for a Mexican built VW. It might be because they were well designed, might be that I maintained them meticulously, could be where they were assembled, but I don't have enough cars to make any decent data set. All my information is only anecdotal.

Aren’t we already effectivly forced to buy trucks built here? The chicken tax made that possible.

As an adult consumer, I buy things based on value. As the child of an IBEW union steward and an ironworker union member, I remember the questionable quality of all the USA made cars (and TVs, VCRs, etc.) growing up. In the current global economy, it is difficult to impossible to buy most things from the USA only. I
