Good catch! Yeah, I was under the impression that Juliet’s suicide had happened a few years ago - far enough along that Ed Harris would be playing William, but a good while before the events of season 1.
The money and suppression thing, mostly. The podcast itself is really interesting (I’m most of the way through episode 4), but she’s basically a spiritual guru who is fond of telling people not to bother with suicide hotlines, and that sometimes it just makes more sense for people to kill themselves.
