I’m not sure this is any less surprising than drinks being so high on the list. I’d wager that fries accompany just about every other thing on the menu. Plus every time they get a carry-out order, the customer is more likely to think that drinks are too much of a pain to carry than fries.
For that last [beef stew], it’s kind of my signature dish and has been for decades.

God I wish he were making that up. For a good primer on the Proud Boys, check out This American Life.
This does look awesome. However, the missus don’t do beef. Any ideas on how to sub chicken in this recipe in a way that won’t dry out or be sad?

I really miss... well, I really miss my kid being of an age to appreciate it, but I also miss Jack’s Big Music Show. It only ran for two seasons, but it was ridiculous and fun, and occasionally had a really great musical guest. (Who thought of bringing Andrew Bird on for an episode?)

Here he is, ladies and gentlemen: That Guy
Come on, man. The article specifically says it’s about how to be a better storyteller, not a better author. I guarantee you that William Gibson does not start personal anecdotes like that.

You monster.
It’s something I use a lot when I’m cooking regularly. Trouble is, I have a job that can make it difficult for me to cook regularly, sometimes for a month or two at a time.
