Hey, I'm not saying that AT&T refused to honor our contract. I'm saying that refurbished gear isn't always a good deal, and should be approached with eyes open. The warranty conditions (which I unwisely ignored because hey, never had a phone break on me before) are a big part of that.

Yeah - just to be clear, I'm not saying that my one unlucky purchase of a refurbed phone should queer everyone else on the idea. What I'm saying is that if the vendor isn't willing to put up the same kind of warranty for refurbished goods as they are for new, you should approach with extreme caution.

"Back then?" Back then never happened. We're talking about Middle Earth, not Rome or Gaul or Eire.

Ugh, no, on the cutting board advice. You don't have to go crazy, but avoid those Pyrex-like cutting boards. Very hard on knives and they feel terrible to cut on besides.

"she's getting me a kindle fire for christmas. the fuck? do i look like the type of bitch that read books for fun?"

So I take it you weren't a big fan of Melancholia?

LET LOOSE THE WAR BALLOONS!

I joined back in 2005, for the community. Well, okay - not exactly. I joined because I was , getting semi-seriously into photography, and taking a ton of pictures of my extremely prematurely born daughter. In doing so I stumbled into a community which was incredibly supportive of my photography, and a mini-community

These actually remind me of someone's work, but I can't remember his name. Also kind of reminds me of Yoshitomo Nara, though, so I'll post this instead.

"Migrant Mother's" actual name was Florence Owens Thompson. I know that she doesn't carry a lot of name recognition, but it seems a shame to deprive her of her name after she had such a hard life.

Spoken like a true gliberatian.

I find the multiplayer ridiculously fun. But then, I tend to gravitate towards co-op play, and I always enjoyed the frenetic... freneticness? Of the vanguard class. A fast power recharge rate, biotic charge leveled up all the way, and full shields upon charge means that I get to zip around the battlefield like crazy.

Your play experience is very different than mine. I find that on Platinum, most of the tougher enemies (Banshees, Brutes, Praetorians) can survive a direct rocket hit. Since I can only carry something like 4 rockets into a level, this generally means I don't get very far with just rockets.

I nearly spit out my coffee. Bravo, sir.

I sorta wish I had thought to register "BeastObama.com". The web site site be all pictures of the president shopped to look like the Beast, Rabban, from Dune.

To be fair, it was the only way to be sure.

You know, I always thought there was a resemblance.
