I have an acquaintance who is a professional photographer, who specializes in kids' portraits. She's cute, her 3 kids are cute, her husband is cute, and because of her line of work, you won't be surprised to hear that there are a ton of images of them floating around.

According to the CBS story, the pictures showed the girls "fully clothed". So I would cut these kids a little slack - it's like a company misusing stock photography, only there are no watermarks or copyright lawyers.

If it's handy, you can use other mildly acidic substances - I did it the other day with a couple of squirts of lemon juice, and it turned out great. In fact, I thought the egg white was a bit _too_ set, so I may use less next time.
