The 10 speed in the ‘Stang isn’t even close to the best Auto on the market, in fact, it’s garbage compared to a lot of alternatives (namely any twin-clutch setup and the now-ubiquitous ZF 8-speed).

Grrrr you tell him angry man!
Just because you think you’re the target audience doesn’t make you it - which addressable market do you think is bigger, vegetarians or meat-eaters?
I saw at least 4 overtakes in Sunday’s race alone. None of which involved passing a car with no front tires.
I’m convinced Driver of the Day is almost always the driver gets the most camera love over the course of any given race.
Yeah Brad (and everyone else that voted for Max) dropped the ball with that one. Icing on the cake was learning that Max fucked up putting his car into the wrong torque mode leaving the pits - he was then stuck in the incorrect mode for the duration of his race.
Fucking eh. We get it, Max wins the popularity contest and everyone hates Lewis but jesus christ it’s like people are blind!
I think you’re discovering a more passionate F1 fanbase here on Jalop than you might have anticipated!
I’m aware of that. I said the penalty wasn’t Max’s fault.
Why are you so insightful?
Your point re: Grosjean is an interesting one. Perhaps he was overlooked as a Driver of the Day candidate.
LOL I don’t feel quite as strongly as you do about Max but I do agree the Driver of the Day seems to be a popularity contest more than an accurate award.
That’s exactly why Lewis was the best today - he held off the grid’s most aggressive driver for 60 LAPS with inferior tires.
So he drove as fast as a handicapped car in front of him for 60 laps but was unable to pass, got a penalty (admittedly not his fault), finished off the podium and he’s your driver of the race?
If I interpret your point correctly, Max deserves driver of the day because ‘impossible to pass’. LOL k Brad.
And it’s just as easy to be ‘faster’ and sit behind a car and not pass. What’s your point? Max didn’t do anything to deserve driver of the day. He had a fast car and leap frogged his way up the order in the pits, not on the track.
It’s not the ‘fastest driver of the day’ award, it’s the best driver.
Good analysis. Not sure why max got driver of the day though - think Lewis clearly deserved those honors.
