This all seems crazy to me, if they wanted to build a Cayman alternative they should have made an FRS STi. Turbo, wider track, stickier rubber, big brakes etc. Closer to the intended target in terms of dimensions and driving dynamics, not to mention exponentially more cost-effective than a second JV.

Ummmm....aside from the E30, no M3 was ever a good ‘investment’. I HIGHLY doubt a M3 CS will become a future classic. This is still a turbocharged, automatic sedan for Pete’s sake.
