How much gas is in .... what region??? And who owns the natural gas pipelines that bring gas into Turkey and nearly every European country? You don’t seem to understand how much Europe depends on Russian natural gas supplies.

IF it becomes proven and definite Turkey really was/is behind a lot of ISIS’ activities, the question then becomes: what are the U.S. and NATO prepared to do?

Umm ... Russia also sells gas to the rest of Europe. All of Europe I think needs and uses Russian natural gas (not so much oil).

I guess shipping LNG works if you’re a small nation and anything less than a million cubic meters of gas fits your country’s needs. But for big markets like the EU? That’s gonna need a thousand LNG supertankers.

I don’t know. Maybe. Russia seems to play Gas Company to Ukraine every six months or so, and Ukraine be like, “I swear, we mailed the check!!” And then Russia be like, “Okay, we’ll give you an extension, since you have kids and all.”
