You should consider integrating the BFI critic's list of best films, as it's one of the few big critical datasets with full voting info available

Interesting article, Sonia, but I'm not sure what the alternative utopian "third choice" would be, instead of MFA or NYC. You say that both are flawed, and, yeah, they certainly are, but what do you think would be a better system? I'm hard pressed to think of one, realistic or no.

Thanks so much! But, I have a dirty little secret: All my suggestions are reverse-crowdsourced from the village voice "Pazz & Jop" critic's lists of the best music of the year. I wrote down all the top-3 singles, then crossed out all the bands that had already been covered, and all that had already been commented.
