OMG, thank you so much for the uk tip!! I've been using gizmodo.com.au off and on since the redesign, and mostly off since it's kinda depressing to see 1 comment every four posts.

It looks like a nice iPad with a black back - especially in side view. (had to go find pics at engadget to get a good look - the nav bar is covering 1/3 of the photos for me in Chrome on a PC. Stoopid #redesign.) Will be interesting to see how they manage to compete with the app environments' of Xoom and iPad.

Anyone else annoyed at how the GIZMODO letters hang over the videos now? #redesign

thanks! I liked some of what I saw on hooniverse and will check out the others.

@witeowl: Hadn't seen this before. It's refreshing to see a band using music videos as a fresh format again.

Survey says? Fugly.

Groupon sounds even more dirty when she says it.

That Geisel Library is so Seussian.

So what other auto blogs do you guys like that I should start checking out?

It's at least better than the new 'normal' view. It'd be nicer if half of the picture links weren't broken.

@Dimensiation: True dat. You can see that the helmets in the picture have jutting jaw pieces like the race car helmets from City sets.

@Metro Charts. VP of Vice: I'm feelin ya, homie. I gots mine in a box in the basement - I think I have every US space set on that list AND The. Yellow. Castle. (That last one purchased in Billund, DK at the Legoland gift shop :-O)

@the yawner: "by restricting their conditions they could be more sure that the effect was due to the suspected cause. " Actually, most scientists would disagree with this statement. Including fewer control conditions in an experiment often leads to LESS certainty as to the cause of an effect. Controls are used to

Really interesting to read the source article. I would've liked to see a control browser, like Safari or Firefox, used for half of the synthetic queries. That way they could've pinpointed IE-collected data more conclusively.

Move along, nothing to see here. Actually, even if there was a posted pic/video, there's nothing to see here based on the link. The same display is up in the window of the Seattle Apple Store and has fishing line holding the display up that are hard to see in the video. But it is a nice display, don't get me wrong.

I keep wanting WA to work for biomedical research topics that I need for work, but it never does. I always thought it must be a tool for mathematicians or people who don't/can't write boolean google searches. The example below of local lake levels is the first real-life example of it's usefulness I've seen. I just

Thanks for the article. There's a lot of good points here about assumptions I have vs. the rest of my family regarding relaxation-time video. I have no problem wading through unfamiliar menus to discover new things, but my wife and others don't. They want to sit and surf and don't seem to get as mad about the 600

@LastAndLeast: Totally chill now that I have my ristretto quad-shot and am surrounded by single-toed shoes, thank you very much. My tongue must've just gotten stuck in my cheek for a minute there...wow.
