I’d actually say Showdown is easier than SF. You don’t have to know combos and frametraps and stuff like that to get into it. You really just need positioning since damage is so high.

Samurai Shodown was the first fighter after Street Fighter 2 that I played and legitimately got into that didn’t feel like I was just taking a break from SF2. A lot of other fighters felt like they were trying copy or beat SF2 at its own game and Samurai Shodown did a lot of things differently.
