If this show wants to be a morality play, I'm actually fine with that. I just feel they need to find the balance between a condescending lecture (currently happening with their numerous monologues), and fanservice combat. I believe this show could be much improved if they just turned it into Nancy Drew (Kara) and the

You know, I'll accept "elegant" dialog, if nothing else. If CBS is looking to go down the route of Diff'rent Strokes "very special episodes", I'll be disappointed, but I'll take it with elegant dialog. Honestly, that's the gist of my criticism: the dialog on Supergirl is presented poorly; please fix!

I think the difference in reaction to Snyder's work versus Supergirl's dialog is that Snyder's output happens once a year at most. By contrast, we're at ~5 hours of Supergirl, with 13 more episodes to come, just in this one broadcast season. It's harder to be dismissive of something you encounter weekly, versus

Alright, well, I suppose our opinion on this matter is irreconcilable. The fact that Bruce Timm's 1992 Batman: The Animated Series exists tells me that the viewing demographic for kids' shows has become more sophisticated over the years. Saying that She-Ra had crappy dialog 30 years ago, so little girls shouldn't

Sooo… does that excuse poor writing? The Incredibles is a superhero show aimed at kids, but it plays out very well for adults too. How to Train Your Dragon was an action-adventure written for kids, but adults appreciated it as well. Shows written for little girls don't need to be poorly-written.

I feel people are willfully misinterpreting my comment for no reason. I didn't ask for a Jessica Jones-type of makeover; I asked for better dialog. Is that really a controversial request?

Well, I don't know what their lead time is for production, but it's the 7th episode now, so I hope the writers have heard feedback (and noticed the ratings plummet) and intend to course-correct. Benoist's efforts can only carry this show so far. The writing is seriously undermining all the goodwill that Benoist has

Is one of his bodies named Jamie Madrox?

Okay, I can appreciate that sentiment. I reached that level of frustration during the Throne of Atlantis storyline, when the Justice League decided to act like douchenozzles while Aquaman was attempting to stop a war. Still, while I share your assessment about Nu52 Supes, I'm struggling with this show's narrative

Ah, thanks! That's what I get for not watching comedies. One time, I missed an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia joke, and I replied to it in all seriousness … and I looked like a fool. LIKE A FOOL!

LOL! I'm guessing you intentionally constructed your reply to underline the effect, but that really made me laugh. I especially like every exclamation point.

Oh, I don't have problems with the tone or intent of the show. I have problems with how the dialog is delivered in a really pedagogic manner. Like, everything is so on-the-nose, and people are constantly reduced to archetypes (evil villain is villainous!) with the way they say the things they say.

Yeah, I've gotten used to cringing at least once every episode. I'd really like this show to just develop the characters, instead of talking about the characters. All their internal motivations don't really need to be over-explained out loud.

I don't understand why the dialog on this show is so didactic. It's so full of weekday-afternoon, after-school special type of speechifying. They're constantly narrating the theme of the episode. How did Berlanti and CBS decide this was primetime TV dialog, regardless of their target demographic?

Hi, I'm a fetus and I hate the music of my generation. Why can't we have good music like in ancient history with Dawes? Today it's all just hipsters.

Morgan will be "away in Los Angeles", helping out people who Fear the Walking Dead.

Ah, that's a good question. Unfortunately, I didn't save any of the previous eps on my DVR, so I can't actually compare.

I'm interested in finding out how the corpse gets transported so far into the past. In this episode, the beginning of Spearhead is revealed, with Aaron Marker and Olivia as pivotal players. I'm waiting to see how Project Splinter gets up and running (perhaps Cole initiates it as a means of getting back to Jones, or

We don't need to be visually bashed over the head with it.

I wanted Dottie to survive that fight, because I expected that Peggy would have plot armor as her advantage. I didn't think it would be realistic to hope for a Dottie win, but I definitely want Dottie to continue with the show. When the contrivances colluded towards a Peggy win, I can't say I was surprised. I'm just
