I think that microsoft is doing well in innovating as it is. I do love how WP7 looks, the design was something totally different than iOS, they're doing fine.

It is... If you buy a dell tablet with Windows 8 on, you're practically paying both dell for the hardware, and Microsoft for the licence. If both come from the same firm, they have more room for playing around with the prices
