I’m not clear what you mean exactly. Do you mean the earbuds that lack the silicone that essentially blocks out noise? Scull candy style? If you’re saying that those hurt your ears I absolutely understand that. I’ve had the silicone kind push water behind my eardrums on at least three occasions

lol It really depends on the headphones. There’s a lot of sub-twenty dollar pairs. Mine (linked below) are $25 and they’re pretty decent, but they also get used for podcasts more than music, not that they’re bad for that either. I guess it just depends on what you use your headphones for exactly.

Wired earbuds are about 2 years in the grave. A nice pair of wired headphones (true cans) still have some use in my view, but my bluetooth buds have 10 hours of play, and on-ears headphones have 20 hours. I’m sure there’s quality bluetooth over the ear headphones out there, but people pay a lot of money for good…
