I just want to say thanks for illustrating that there are two types of couples this way. It helped me realize that with my wife and I, I tend to gravitate toward wanting to be “happily enmeshed,” whereas my wife is very much an “independent partners” type.

This list seems geared toward happily enmeshed couples rather than independent couples. I have friends who have successful relationships in both categories, although I admit that I skew more toward the independent side of the scale in my own preferences.

I dunno about thinking it. Tons of people have thought shitty things about others without consideration.
 But to write it out anyway is a very weird thing to do.
