Actually, I still stare at a CRT. Never spent enough money for an LCD I could live with. The colors while they're on are quite dazzling compared to cheaper LCDs...

Al Jazeera estimated that 8,000 troops in Benghazi defected. And the stuff you mentioned is their problem: Command isn't organized enough, supplies are running out, etc.

I was kind of afraid of that, but in the 5 seconds of loading I remembered that I wasn't on Faux News. Giz would never talk about 4chan like that, and besides it's not even true.

So Hollywood wants to kill their only hope of shutting down my torrent client forever. Fine. I really don't care. I watch enough TV, indie, and obscure titles on DVD and Instant that my Netflix will keep going no matter what. I'll keep going to the theater when I really want to see a movie or just want to be sociable

When will it be for the web? I would torrent way less if I didn't need my BBC.

Although I can usually tolerate it, his lack of commas and failure to capitalize "I" bothered me more than the drama. I guess I set my standards too high, but I really thought the awesome PS3 hacker would be better than that. On the other hand, he still seems to speak C much better than I do...

YES. If they let us watch most seasons of TOS, TNG and DS9, then Transmission, prepare for a lighter load. Twilight Zone will be fun, too. Doctor Who, X-Files, Firefly, and now Star Trek...what more scifi could I ask for from Netflix? (No, really, let's hear some suggestions for the next awesome series to come to

"Yes, this means you need Windows but it Kindle for PC reportedly works with Wine."

Wll obviusy ths guy has ben so traumatised tht his spalling is mssed up.

No thanks, I like hiding behind aliases sometimes. Plus, a unified login is quite hackable, especially in the hands of the n00bs at the US government.

Handy, but the average American connection will spend about an uploading anyway...

And what about the kid? Maybe it's the stress, but she looks like even my 13-year-old desperation wouldn't have allowed it...

Couldn't test myself well even with annotations off due to knowing french, but at 15 I knew the Game Boy, the floppies, the record and player, and know how to use the old phone. I also saw something that looked like an archaic mouse, maybe an early trackball (right?).

Are we talking the VIA processor, as in the crappy Chinese Android 1.6 platform? Because if so CES will be a good comedy show.

@kschang: I think Whitson partied too hard last night ;)

@Deekle: Torchwood: The New World. It will be set in America and broadcast on BBC1 and Starz. 10 episodes are expected, and RTD will be writing a few of them.
