If the child is going to be forced into helping him, it would be more of a punishment for the creator of the model. I’m sure the last thing on earth he wants to spend time with is that child.

That would be more of a punishment to the man who built the model in the first place. Children ruin everything they touch. Why would you subject the poor artist to more contact with the foul creature?
