Every time I’ve been on the light rail, it’s been pretty darn full, and it’s a lot faster at getting from one end of the city to another than a bus would be.  If you want a good public transportation system, there isn’t going to be a one size fits all solution, you want a network of interconnected systems.  

Because it is opaque, and is needed for the gag.
