The studio was the weakest part of The Grand Tour and the more recent of Top Gear when they were still there. A waste of time when they could be touring the World which was the best part.

I had a female “sometime” Mech Engnr girlfriend

No need to worry about insufficient panel gaps in the production model.

Which is why pretty much everyone who has ever done metal work and every vehicle with flat panels puts bends in the panels... One bend strengthens the panel immensely.

She was just looking for new opportunities to mention she went to Stanford.

I had a female “sometime” Mech Engnr girlfriend once comment that her favorite core ME classes at Stanford had been “Vibrations” followed by “Advanced Fluid Dynamics”...

Of all the things to complain about with this, high bed sides.

I also vibrate like crazy with mechanical stimulus

Flat panels like that lose a lot of rigidity.  They vibrate like crazy upon any mechanical stimulus

The first thing I noticed is the flush fit of the sides of the tailgate to the bed corners. That’s a huge mistake if it goes into production.

Wife got trapped inside my BMW 5 Series the first time she drove it. She did not realize that the Germans like for you to use the interior handle twice.

I want to see someone open this door with a pair of gloves/mittens on.

I’m always surprised to hear people getting stuck in ‘Vettes. I shut the door on myself in a showroom once and found the auxiliary handle in like 4 seconds.  It’s literally four inches under the button and has a bright red sticker of a door and an arrow on it.

Hah...For real. I think I’ve told this story before, but I used to work for a guy who had a big private car collection.

Simply pulling that lever a few millimeters rearward engages the electric latch, popping the door open.

ITP - person who can’t drive.

If you’re thinking in the BRZ/FRS/86 price range, then the Supra was not made for you. You are not the target consumer.

And yet, we all knew precisely what airline he was referring to. In spite of your needless pedantry

LOL yeah, I would have just driven at that point.

We had a flight with Alaskan Airlines from John Wayne, to San Jose. It was supposed to leave at 6pm on a Friday.
