That’s why this world is great. I appreciate your opinion even though I’m the other side of the coin. I would love to see more teams mixing it up in the front, especially if there’s more overtaking! Also a Honda fan :) but I’m more of a Kimi fan than anything else!

I’m not going to flame you for being insensitive. I’ll flame you for being illogical.

I’ve seen it get better to, but I believe it’s the tighter industrial controls than even the emissions controls that helped this. I think the original emissions controls were great, but we’re getting to a point were they want to take it from .001% to .000001%. The costs of complying with that is staggering.

That almost 90 miles away so that’s not surprising. Oceanside is SD county.

Lifetime SoCal resident. I think things were better when we had the smog. Sure you couldn’t go outside on some days, but everything seemed more functional pre 2000.

People tend to be blind to the politics of CARB. It’s strange. Somehow they’re the magical do gooders.

I don’t know about that but do you live in SoCal? I do, the smog levels in the last 20 years have dropped so much that you can see LA from OC occasionally.

Spot on.

I guess I’m going to be the contrarian here. Something will eventually need to be done about China demanding an unequal playing field, especially with regard to intellectual property rights.

Can anybody think of what cars are excluded from tariffs using the provided metrics? It looks like nearly everything from 1.5L to 4L for standard combustion cars, and 1L to 4L for PHEVs, is captured, but then there’s number 26:

All BMW cars including the Z4 have a hidden feature....

Speaking of hidden features...

“The higher-power mode will be able to bring drivers a performance gain of one second per lap, but it’s still unspecified as to how, exactly, the high-power mode is to be utilized.”

Ohm not sure why the resistance to F-E, I find it electrifying! I’m shocked that more fans aren’t tuning in, given the current direct flow of manufacturers energy into the series. Alternately, the capacity of our attention spans may be the limiting factor....

Lincoln has mastered the “Fuck it, we’re finished.” rear design concept. The taillights are too thin, too low, and look like a knockoff Kia in traffic. For a car that’s supposed to have presence, this thing is anonymous as shit in when approaching from behind.

Shhh. Too many fucking racing snobs here that like to turn this into some feudal game of dick measuring. They’re too pretentious to admit that F1 is rather dull right now. Shit, watch me get flamed just for saying it.

Minimal or worse coverage... BUT!

They’d be better off just putting the races on Netflix, no way it’d be worse than ESPN.

I was yelling at my TV the coverage was so bad and it was all on ESPN. While I miss the fun and camaraderie of the NBC/Speed guys, the Sky announcers are way more into the race. They relay the strategies currently playing out by the teams which were often missed by the US crew.
