Oh well yea obviously. People who talk in class are terrible. I was always more of a back row type myself. Would be great to read and attend— just no tests please. Still having nightmares about the class I forgot to go to all semester.

What a cool class. No seriously— disturbing but cool. I’d so much rather be doing that than work. I don’t think I appreciated college enough while I was there.

I am attacked daily by R&F “consultants” on FB— in a group for lawyers, no less! Anyone mentions skin and they’re on it. Also some women from college were in it for awhile, posting before and after photos and big ole close ups of their face. As far as I could tell, they had basically never used moisturizer before and

I also read somewhere to stick them in ice water as soon as they’re done. Seems to help, as well.

The food there was 100% corporate, terrible, and expensive.

I was there for the first time this summer and my god it was hellish. So crowded and then the camp sites right in that main area were a sea of tents, tarps, coolers, and miscellaneous crap strewn everywhere.

It’s also generally people who don’t understand that government actually does do some shit for them, and that it’s not super productive to throw the baby out with the bath water.

OMG a 9 year old can’t see Coco or Home Alone? That is ridiculous. They’re in for a world of hurt in about 3-4 years when, for most parents, all bets are off. Stranger Things? Yes! Let’s not even talk about 13 Reasons Why (the one thing I’ve turned off and disallowed in the last few years).

We still sometimes have to yell at our kids to look around them when they’re in a parking lot and not just walk wherever. They’re fucking 12 and 14. It’s totally because we held their hands for so long, and they know we’re always watching— they don’t have to take care of themselves.

When my son was younger, like 8 maybe, my friend hosted a group of moms and kids for a potential boy scout troop. She was so careful— can’t just join one or form one, we had to meet to feel it out first. Eye roll. Anyway, we discussed some potential charity/volunteer activities, and someone mentioned bringing toys or

I hear you on that, having spent my childhood as the only child of people who thought antique shops and quaint bed and breakfasts are a great vacation. Even though they were like ten years younger than I am now. WHY MOM WHY.

Most people I know only go to Mexico or the Caribbean on cruises. So not a lot of countries. I actually kind of get the ones that go to Asia or Europe. Not my thing because I hate boats and I don’t want any cruise food, let alone unlimited buffets of cruise food. But my husband and I are going to try the river cruise

I can’t understand why they would rather do this than stay on the beach at a resort. It seems many of the cruise folks are older and don’t seem beach-oriented, so I can’t figure out what they’re doing. I really think they’re walking around tourist markets buying junk, then heading right back.

I always feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t get it- cruises sound awful. There’s a tiny crowded pool, tons of mediocre food, and then these short day trips to the open air market in whatever beach town you dock at. If you pay extra, you can do some sort of activity during the day trip instead of wandering to shop

I’ve had mixed results from the dermatologist— I went in for a normal sized but painful cyst on my back, she shot it with steroids or whatever and it went away. Did the same for my 12 year old daughter who had a giant painful one in her armpit, but the shot did nothing and it burst on its own a few days later (which

You think you’re not going to get cancer because you eat certain things, don’t you? Well I hope it works out, because either way cancer is bad. I didn’t say anything about taking from me, but while we’re on the topic, yes, if you are knocked unconscious in a car wreck or other accident and taken to the ER with massive

So just out of curiosity, how is this stellar plan of yours going to work for, say, cancer or a bad car wreck? Urgent care doesn’t do chemo.

Our is 8am unless they sign up for zero, which is typically the high achiever kids who want to do two electives, whatever AP classes, etc. Yea, I get the whole thing about the studies, and we’ll need to go with the majority if our district makes that decision. My preteen and teen go to bed at a reasonable hour and get

It stuns me how many parents can’t get it together to make their kids charge their phones at night somewhere in the living room or whatever. No phones in bed! And then they’re like, oh they’re not getting enough sleep so we need school to start later. Maybe if they didn’t stay up scrolling instagram and snapchat and

I have two middle schoolers and it’s absolutely true. Our school banned ipad use at lunch- they’re required to have ipads for school, and then the school was surprised when they created a generation of addicts. All so they can use stupid apps to turn in homework.
