This woman was completely exposed as the inexperienced, uninformed, ideologue she truly is. Al Franken destroyed her while questioning her views on proficiency vs. growth. As the daughter of two Connecticut public school teachers and a current resident of Michigan let me just say, fuck you Betsy.

My jaw literally dropped at the gross, ignorant, stupidity of some of her responses. If she cannot/will not think for herself, why the hell is she being put in charge of education!

But, seriously, Betsy and her family basically single-handedly bankrolled the destruction of public schools in Michigan. And more than that, her little organizational front threatens individual teachers who speak out on social media.

Legit ONE caller (rep, dem or ind) on CSPAN had a nice thing to say about her, and it was that she seems like she cares about kids. Even the Republican callers were like WTF She’s not qualified at *all*.

And gay conversion was a part of the curriculum. Yes, she’s one of those who gives a ton of cash to those torture organizations.

You laugh now, but when a classroom full of kindergartners gets eaten by a bear because the students weren’t allowed to carry guns you’ll be sorry.

As a public school teacher, I love this. We are unable to be trusted to do our job and should probably be fired, but it’s a-ok for us to have guns with us all the time at work.
