Yeah, that was the gut punch in that scene; Bourne realizing the man he was watching die was basically his brother—same training and possibly the same fate. Their roles could easily have been reversed, with Bourne hunting him.

And for anyone playing Sam Spade after Bogart played him. Portraying sadness and exhaustion was Bogie’s middle name. Owen fits the bill.

Actually the baby lived. Once Tyrol realized he was a Cylon (thus sterile) and Callie’s affair became known, Hot Dog took responsibility for the kid as a single parent.

I agree.

You forgot his series-long run as Interpol agent James Sterling, Nate Ford’s sometimes nemesis/sometimes ally on Leverage

BTW—Here’s a pretty good comparison of the book and the three movie adaptations. I agree with the conclusions.

I thought the zombies (not vampires like in The Last Man on Earth and The Omega Man) looked like Ted Danson.

The 1964 Italian version with Vincent Price was actually the most faithful to the book, probably because Richard Matheson actually helped with the script.

By all accounts he had. All the reports point to a heart attack in his hot tub after playing pickleball this morning.

Considering how many coroners and CSI technicians there are in the UK, according to British television, it might be that Ducky couldn’t get a job back home and had to emigrate to keep his poor mother fed.

In all fairness, I actually encountered more than a few sailors of British origin (English, Scottish and Welsh) serving in the U.S. Navy over the course of my career. It wasn’t commonplace, but it wasn’t exactly a rare thing either.

Now playing

Yeah, but now I’m craving Eggs Woodhouse at 2 a.m.

You’re thinking of the NIT (Not Invited Tournament)

So true. Procedurals and murder mysteries all suffer from that syndrome. My personal favorites these days are Midsomer Murders (roughly 140 murders over 23 seasons) and Death in Paradise (roughly 100 murders over 12 seasons).
