This is sad news. Williams was a great working actor, and by all accounts a genuinely good guy.

I don’t think it was ever meant to be high art, but it featured peak Piscopo (before he started opening his mouth off stage), and two legends—Vincent Price and Darrin McGavin. Williams took his lead in the weird cop buddy/campy horror film seriously and played it straight, which made the whole thing worth watching.
Yeah, it’s hot that spicy little kick that hits you right in the jaw.
I agree.
Nice one!
Trent Crimm renaming his book left the door open for new season sans Lasso.
The show is set up for a spin off (Greyhounds maybe?). I mean, the only character who is definitely written out is Lasso. All the other characters are still with the team.
Another great working character actor gone. I’ll be honest, I had no idea what his name was until I read the article but instantly recognized him when I saw the photo. He was pretty much in everything worth watching for the last 30 years.
It was inevitable that Barry would die in the end. He’d done so many bad things and was not willing to do the work of atonement until his son’s life was on the line. It was ironic that the moment he decided to take responsibility for his actions was just before Gene pulled the trigger.
At least we have a good idea now of how Moss managed to screw with Lon’s mind so thoroughly.
The English word derived from French. It is a direct loan word. It is, however, not gendered in English.
I’ve never seen né used in English. Ever.
Someone has to ask where he got the info at some point.
Could be, but the ones Barry was wearing didn’t look as bulky.
True, but it’s loan word in English so there isn’t a gender distinction. The French have more or less adopted the practice in daily usage.
I can only imagine what Moss would do if he did have VR goggles. Maybe some sort of modified Ludovico Technique? I’m sure whatever he came up with would be as scary as that assortment of torture instruments he had laid out.
Née means someone’s original name. It’s a loan word from French and sometimes retains the accent. It’s not gender specific English, it just indicates a name change. We just see it most often with women because they change their names far more often than men.
I don’t think they were VR goggles, just regular welding goggles with blackout lenses. All the imagery was in Barry’s head.
