Knowing absolutely nothing else about your situation, it really does sound to me like your employer is taking advantage of you. Perhaps your employer is an awesome person and you want to be good to him, and that is valid! But if not, I hope you try thinking selfishly a little!

I totally get it - we hear a TON about how young people need to do the time, do the hard work, not be lazy, etc, and getting a job as a young person right now is hard. It’s funny how the conversation about millennials being supposedly lazy is producing the opposite, to their detriment.

Well, I would question the entire concept of owing allegiance to any corporate machine, regardless of size. Unless you are a business owner or partner in the business or in some way directly reap benefits from the success of the business, I think you need to look out for yourself first and the company should expect

I dunno, but as another older millennial I find myself frequently reminding younger people that your job does not own you, fuck them, take your vacation time, don’t work on your lunch if you’re hourly, and don’t answer the damn phone if your boss calls you 16 times on a weekend.

Reading about all of this is killing me. I have unlimited sick days, technically, but if I took as many as I needed it would create problems. I get two weeks of vacation and hoard it like it is pure gold so I can best optimize my time off.

Yeah I use every single moment available to me and desperately wish for more.

WHAT WHERE?? That is beautiful.

I would like to get away if I can as well. Honestly - my husband keeps trying to convince me to vacation someplace easier and I’m like NO LET ME OUT.

I’m glad that people are at least talking to us. I traveled a little at the end of the Bush administration and people generally did not want to engage with me at all once they realized I was American.

And that also means it sucks even worse for her. It certainly seems like she did what was necessary to protect herself and her mother - and since it was murder she has had to go through a probably traumatizing legal experience. That is on top of the actual abuse that made her act, AND the fact that this child was in a

Correct - Pope Francis has relaxed many of the traditions, and I assume it is up to the discretion of the individual, within basic bounds of conservative dress. It is much more common for women to wear a head covering when meeting the Pope though, and I do think their outfits were appropriate. Were they meeting with a

Yikes.

You know, I think it’s the SIZE of Ivanka’s that bugs me! It sticks out from her head and looks too ostentatious - like it’s bridal and not modest.

Apparently this pope is ok with more relaxed outfits, so they probably could have gotten away with a dark tailored suit and a snappy hat, but this is the traditional and safest option.

I LOVE that veil. Funny how nearly the same look can look so much more elegant on someone else!

I really think she just can’t move her face.

That is interesting! They must be VERY Catholic. I’ve only ever encountered those restrictions in Russian Orthodox churches.

Thanks for saying this reasonably. They are following the standard traditions of dress that pretty much all previous first ladies/heads of state have gone with in similar situations. If they had, in some unlikely event, gone into a mosque, I certainly hope they would have had their heads covered. The question of

I got a deeply cranky dude who supposedly discovered Lyme Disease but spent a lot of time talking about how someone else claims to have discovered it but is wrong. My sister graduated from the same university four years later and got Nichelle Nichols, so they apparently got their acts together.

I had a fun conversation with my GP about my anxiety today and expressed that I thought external factors were contributing. She asked if anything in particular was the problem and I was like .... uh..... Trump???
