This also seems so incredibly difficult to maintain. As a mid-level marketing peon I am at events fairly frequently where alcohol is served. How do you avoid that? I can’t just invite my husband to all work events!

Matt Walsh is the worst. Sometimes I will hate-read him but it makes me so mad it’s not even enjoyable. (I also grew up religiously conservative and it is tough.)
Yeah sounds like someone fucked up at some point - or multiple points, since this is a pretty aggressive policy - and neither of them can trust him to not do it again.
I am a bisexual woman. Most of my meals are with the genders I am sexually attracted to, even if the actual individual dining partner is not.
Could not agree more!
Yeah I am actually finally financially comfortable (thanks to marrying well!) but dang, raise please. The mental and emotional well-being that comes from worrying less about money is just unparalleled. I mean, I could also afford better vacations with a raise!
It is scary that the stupid spreads like that.
Donald is pushing the “blame the Democrats” line, as is my dumbfuck senator, Cornyn. Somehow it is their fault that they didn’t present a perfect, bipartisan solution that would appeal to the GOP, despite the repeated GOP efforts to destroy the ACA and the fact that the GOP has all the power right now. It’s actually…
I had a swing state voter recently tell me he doesn’t like Trump but couldn’t bring himself to vote for Hillary and I had to take a deep breath and step out of the conversation.
Yup, I’ve seen a lot of those. I can’t actually get anyone to explain to me what he has done that is so much more and better than Obama (well, the Wall, and .... and....who knows.) I am seeing a TON of the “he is being unfairly attacked by the liberal media” type of thing on Twitter.
I try not to be biased and assume my side is inherently smarter, but on Twitter it seems like the pro-Trump tweets and replies are always insanely hard to understand. I’ve seen, and gotten, a few that were nearly unintelligible. I mean, I might just not be seeing the unhinged liberals with poor grammar.
The talk of “the establishment” in general annoys me - it’s not inherently BAD to have political experience!
There was a poll a while back that showed something like 25% of Americans thought Obama was a secret Muslim (and believed other horrible conspiracy theories). Across the board there was about a 25% belief rate in the most absurd option, which has led me to assume 25% of the population is just incredibly dumb.
I am a capitalist tool who can have more vacations with or without booze if I got a raise.
I am obsessed with dresses with attached capes. I recently bought a blazer that is half cape. I’d wear this if jumpsuits didn’t make me look like a camel-toed pregnant giraffe.
YES THIS. The closest I’ve felt was when I was laid off a year or so ago, and because my husband has a good job I could at least not panic while looking for something else. My enjoyment was tempered by the real need to get a new damn job, but I did enjoy pretending I didn’t have responsibilities. (Contrasted with…
Yeah like, “everything is free” only applied to my life before maybe ... the age of 12? After that I was consistently aware that even though I was terrible at understanding money and my parents were good to me, things cost money and that we did not have as much as we could. (We were not poor! I want to say middle…
Ok that is actually horrifying.
Good point - I had immediate issues with his theology but even good theology shouldn’t be the basis of public policy. I’d like to see someone else get up their and counter that with other theology and see how he responds - it’s absurd that only Christian conservative theology gets all tangled up in this shit.
Yeah we are really, really bad at that. It’s pretty frustrating.
