Bianca perfectly expresses my feeling about this.

LOLWUT? You know Leviticus is the book many Christians love to use to condemn homosexuality....right?

No one? Not the fundamentalist cults that say a woman can’t be raped by her own husband?

This reads similarly to Leviticus; it’s just a law of damages pertaining to property. I can’t remember the last time I read something less than 2000 years old that was so sickening. God—if there is a God—help those women.

I imagine she gets a lot of shit for anything and everything. She’s probably just fending the shit off ahead of time.

Everything is cultural appropriation. Except cave dwelling.

I had that Barbie too, and I loved her. I wasn’t even that big of a Barbie kid (My Little Pony was my jam) but they had such awesome ones in the 80’s. Another fave of mine was the Dream Glow Barbie...the stars glowed in the dark!

they might not be assholes, but i wonder if they’re commenting on other websites talking about assholes and mentioning you.

Please keep doing that. Smile, say hello, ask how they are doing... As a Muslim woman I can tell you we appreciate that act more than you know. I’ve only had a few instances of someone saying something nasty to me in public but lately what I notice more is people looking away. They pull away and look away and the vibe

Fucking racist teachers. God if I had a penny for every bigoted teacher I had to deal with going through the North Carolina public school system. Why even become a teacher if you know a good portion of your kids will be of the non white variety. And it pisses me off people like this are teaching kids and contributing

Excuses for what? You’re demanding we all acquiesce to your lack of education in a complicated topic. It’s tiresome.

Rest assured, you are no judge.

Sure. I would think they’d have to have a whole ton of foster kids though.

Anyone should be able to be a feminist. It is not a special, unicorn sparkley club.

Atheism - just as patriarchal as religion.

Thank you; and I agree that atheism can be as dogmatic as any religion.

But religion is not a Choose Your Own Adventure

I honestly believe that, in the beginning, you may have had an actual point to make. And I respected that enough to respond.

This woman was a true inspiration to all of us. She travelled the world to understand people, challenging both herself and the traditions of her Islamic faith, and ultimately came to embody the best of the feminist cause. RIP Fatima - Wherever you are, I hope you are at peace.
