How much does it cost? Nobody buys the Ridgeline here in part because it costs just as much if not more than any other midsize pickup, and doesn’t get any better gas mileage.

If you’re the kind of dumbass teenager who would go for this, this is actually a nice price.

I wasn’t aware it was going to be available with a regular cab! Too bad you can’t see a picture of it.

How feasible is 110v charging? A lot of people who aren’t homeowners are still in the market for an electric car. How long a commute can you make every day if all you have is a house outlet?

I’m really more of a Qvale Mangusta guy. CP

USDM manufacturers be like: “Let’s make this paper thin piece of critical safety equipment, that is located in the wheel wells, out of rust-prone carbon steel”

The cool thing about these batteries is that anyone can walk out and buy the cells that make them up.

The internet has no proof of this but this is a compelling enough idea to pique my interest.

This is one of the areas where the Ford Panther platform truly exceeds. 60+ mph in reverse at redline.

I await the piercing howl with great interest. If they’re not all locked away immediately in a hangar in Dubai.

Toyota engineers have designed exactly 3 platforms since the year 2000.

(Jalopnik isn’t naming Skeptic, as he started out writing about Tesla under a pseudonym and has not been accused of any crimes or wrongdoing that would, in our eyes, justify doxxing him as well.)

Except in terms of fuel efficiency, NVH, and packaging.

BMW engineers spend hundreds of hours designing the packaging of the tire changing tools in the trunk of a car, but will leave it up to the supplier to ensure that air suspension valves meet specs (with predictable results).

We already have a long-endurance space vehicle, it’s just that it’s been in the same route in LEO for decades. Reconfigure the ISS where you need to, and punt it out on the same orbit. Maybe it’s no cheaper than the LOPG but it would sure as hell have a ton more capability.

The later models of pre-emissions engines actually get better mileage, and don’t consume DEF which is additional cost. Service intervals are longer, it costs less to service, and probably most importantly, reliability in general is literally an order of magnitude better.

I doubt that engine issue is anything complicated. This is a fuckload of 90's beach party for $2500. NP

A 1/2 ton crew cab pickup will fit in any parking lot in the US outside of Manhattan. That extra six inches doesn’t make all that much difference. The F150 is the best-selling vehicle in the US fer chrissake.

Crack pipe. For that much cash you can get a 2WD domestic full size truck that will be more capable, more comfotable, just as reliable, and will get near the same mileage.
