Problem being, “Automotive Engineering” isn’t an actual engineering degree.

Woah, I’m surprised this got so much traction. Good work Kristen!

“Stay out of my territory”

Not like that blistering speed is going to do you much harm

Jalopnik should make a guide to all the current McLaren models. It’s too goddamn confusing.

I think you responded to the wrong pertain maybe?

Methanol is bad, kids.

Digital cameras record color by assigning a blue, green, and red intensity to the light in a single pixel. They do this by having three separate sub-pixels per image pixel, one which blocks all but red light, one all but green, etc.

I’ve seen worse from German Automakers.

That’s the record for a specific type of cell. Poor science reporting. Here’s a good chart showing the history of solar cell efficiency.

That number is totally wrong. The world record efficiency is 46%. Gallium Arsenide “Space Grade” cells routinely exceed 30%. Silicon cells - what your calculator has - have diminishing returns above 20%, when they start to get really expensive.

Agree to disagree.. but your numbers are pretty close to mine!

Having actually built a couple successful solar-powered cars, that roof ain’t doing anything. With a 20 kWh battery pack and about a square meter of panel area, and assuming they don’t use crazy-ass space grade solar cells (they’re a thing)... I’d estimate 110 hours of sunlight to charge the car.

Side note: these engines pop up on ebay all the time way under the $10k mark. You should really have a good excuse if you’re gonna “drop a built LS” into anything.

This requires international agreement on the type of lock and locker, who has a key, the type of guns, the amount of ammo, and controlled areas where they are not to be used. Not really very likely that Iran, Israel, China, and the US will use their limited diplomatic channels for something of this importance.

Allowing heavily-armed foreigners with no credentials into your major city would not be popular with many countries.

Maybe top speed is 115 and they hit it in the 1/8 mile?

The only thing on that list that is preventing thefts is #3.

The GT ladles on technology you can’t afford at the price of a current Corvette, like ... a twin-turbo V6.
