In the books at least, Tyrion wasn’t too impressed by Littlefingers head for economy. He had just borrowed loads of money with no plan for how to repay them. Littlefinger understand power, but he seems to have no vision what to do with it except gain more power. As a king I see him totally focussed on remaining king,

Littlefinger could definitely work as king. I mean he’s blatantly self-serving, but there are far worse rulers in that respect. The guy has a head for a good economy, knows how to anticipate threats, and he understands the common people and how to gain their approval. Much like Tyrion, the guy is smart.

That’s exactly what the situation is, and probably has been for 10 years, at least. Probably since he started struggling with how to restructure the books starting with #4 where he drastically re-worked how he initially saw the books being presented. I don’t think he ever imagined in 1990 that the spur of the moment

Sanderson probably already has his own drafts ready to go.

All this post really needed was - “NERDS!!!!!”

this take is fire (and blood)

That was one of his first acts in office. Even after it was proven that welfare recipients are far less likely to fail the test than any other group, Scott continued to claim that welfare recipients were buying drugs with their money. As far as I know, he still makes that claim in every effort he makes to cut welfare

Let’s rub it all in their self-flagellation wounds.

I’m from Wisconsin. But my people were here first before everyone else came along and ruined it.

Absolutely! They’ll just go out that door right there for their counseling orientation party! Those popping sounds you’re hearing are just the sound of popcorn being made wooooo! Yes, they are loud. Nope. It’s a FUN scream you’re hearing. Fun to be had. So go ahead....Just right through there. This “rehab” program is

Duh Rand, drug addiction is a moral failing, not a public health issue. Get with the times! /s

Fine for this movie, but not fine for a movie meant as a launching point for half a dozen others.

The MRAs flipping their shit completely sold me, personally.

WB was counting on BvS to kickstart a Marvelesque business shift and was relying on BvS profits to plug a lot of holes from some big bets that bit them in the ass. They just came off of a shitty 18 months and had a lot of catching up to do. It’s not so much about one film making a “fine” amount of money.

I think the problem with franchises it does matter more. The amount of money put into PR, productions, longterm contracts with actors who get paid regardless if the franchise continues, etc.

People can recognize sociopathic Randian garbage when they see it, no matter how many capes you throw on it, Snyder.

There are movies I want to see no matter the reviews but movies I’m on the fence about I’ll read the reviews. I’m easy when it comes to movies.

i would have never watched mad max in theaters if it weren’t for their reviews. i think i watched it the 2nd or 3rd week it was out and i returned a couple weeks later for another viewing.

I love her, but I’m used to watching Bunny’s Does that really work videos. More or less Kylie’s Matte liquid lipstick cracked all the hell in less than 2 hours. You can’t layer it. It cost $29. Blaq China also have a liquid lipstick for $12 and it’s very pigmented and it lasts much longer, although they aren’t matte.
