I know, it’s despicable how they presented the case and paved the way for corporations to use it as an example of “frivolous lawsuits”. I’m really glad the documentary Hot Coffee is out there, it’s doing a very good job at correcting the incorrect narrative.

I think the documentary Hot Coffee has helped some, a lot more people are aware of how horrifically the media dealt with the case since it hit Netflix.

It’s appalling how well the media twisted the story to get everyone on the corporation’s side. It’s so telling when they were interviewing people on the street and they were all against her until they saw her injuries, the ones news outlets never ever showed.

She was awarded for her medical bills, that coffee was well into dangerous temperatures and caused third degree burns on 6% (eta actually it may have been 16%) of her body. It almost killed her. She was in the hospital for 8 days and needed skin grafts. She originally asked for her medical bills but they refused.

When people say “yes...” I always think they’re annoyed at me or something!

The whole one word reply thing is throwing me off more than the punctuation. I’m just so use to things like “Sure, what time?” or “Yes should I meet you” etc. If I sent an invite and got “sure” it wouldn’t matter much if it was “Sure.” or “sure”. I’d find either less than enthusiastic.

See that sounds good because it follows the apple theme.

The only good fruit pie is huckleberry pie. All others can just go home.

People trying to do other countries’ accents is always incredibly amusing (: Most British people I’ve met always use a southern or Boston accents for the US.

When I was traveling through Japan I had several women come up and tell me how pretty my tattoos were. In Singapore I even had a couple older women who just straight up started touching the ones on my arm lol.

This is cuter than puppies playing which I honestly didn’t think was possible.

I think we might have stumbled upon something :P

The struggle of using your phone to comment is real.

I’ve always like the (newer) fallout series for two reasons, exploration and their quests. FO3 I have a funner time exploring and NV I have a funner time finding all their ridiculous side quests.

The problem is that there are few pro choice republicans who run for various offices. You may be pro choice but by voting republican you are voting pro life. There really isn't any way around it in today's political climate.

I’m always so confused how people can be terrified of Saran but worship God and talk about his love for humans. Dude is a huge asshole in the bible. He kills people, totally innocent people, on multiple occasions. How is he morally superior?

Reading through some of his other articles...I dunno.

I dunno, our conversations aren’t strictly based on parent/child stuff. I talk to them about everything except sex. I talk to my dad less (he’s into sports and I’m not, he talks to my brother about it instead) but my mom and I can talk about a lot. She’s still my mom, but now that I’m 25 and have been totally

These threads make me so much more thankful and appreciative of my own mother who’s incredibly awesome.

I’m somewhat surprised at the amount of people who feel it’s excessive. My friends and I all communicate with our parents frequently. Once a day calls don’t seem odd at all.
