That really is the only part I liked about the book. If it just had been a book about her struggle and not a murder mystery I would have been on board through the whole thing. Like I really enjoy the first part of the book when you first get introduced to her and gradually realize how much her life is spiraling.

I don’t even know how that could be a thing. I’m really trying to figure out what points Girl on the Train did better than Gone Girl and can’t think of anything.

I looove that about Gone Girl. Like I really enjoy the writing (definitely the strongest of the books I’ve read by the same author) and the unreliable narrator first being Nick and then Amy is so amazingly good.

Ugh, off topic but this is the first time I could rant about it, I hate that it’s constantly compared to Gone Girl. They’re not that similar, and the writing is significantly weaker.

My mom asked me what “lol” was yesterday. Then she said “But people use it when they’re being passive aggressive! So you don’t actually laugh out loud when you use it?”

He should just buy a sex doll and shut the fuck up.

I’m so confused as to your confusion. To me, it sounds like you think Kelly is implying he’s keeping it. But she wrote “Again, it would be incredibly easy for Oliver to lavish all this money—tax-free thanks to the IRS’s lax rules regarding churches—on himself. Which is the point of this stunt.” Like maybe it’s because

I really didn’t pay attention to the details, though I could’ve sworn she absolutely knew about it, I just thought it was an absolute shit show, and a lot of comments had similar reactions. The conversation is about Jezebel’s commenters reactions to stories, so that story is a good example where the majority reaction

Because it isn’t about sex. He likes the fact that they aren’t consenting and they couldn’t stop him. *That’s* what got him off.

“ This is what equality looks like. Sorry.” This comment made it sound like you were claiming various people on Jezebel are finding this a shit show and not gleeful because the people involved are gay women.

I’m just talking about your hypocrisy statement. The fact that it’s two gay women really isn’t what’s influencing a lot of people saying this is a shit show and not taking glee from it. You find this attitude with a wide variety of marriages/relationships that crumble.

Yes! And that attitude exists in so many different ways. Like if you’re a minority but hate gay people. Or you’re a woman but hate minorities. Like, you feel what it’s like to be judged so harshly just by being. Why on earth don’t you see the connection when you hate on others for simply existing?

Not *all* the time though. Like in cases where children unborn/just born are involved people are usually like oh god, this is horrible all the way around. It’s a different vibe, there’s no glee like there is when it’s a scandal like someone fucked the babysitter or one of them escaped from a cult.

Yeah, I think people would agree that dadbods weren’t more attractive than they’ve ever been. Women have always been perfectly fine with dadbods, or have found them appealing (I’ve been with a couple guys who has “dadbods” and thought they were sexy (: ) it’s pretty much a “duh” kindof thing. It was just bullshit the

I think they’re talking about attack patterns. All enemies have one, and every enemy has a weak point after certain attacks. Once you figure it out then the biggest thing you’re fighting against is your patience. Resisting the “But his health is so slow! I could get in another hi- aw shit he killed me.”

I just binged watched it in a day and it’s pretty much amazing. It’s currently on episode 4 of the second season.

I don’t exactly agree on the dadbod thing, even in ads and especially in TV/movies. Guys can be normal, flubby, chubby, fit, bulging, they can be anywhere on the body rainbow and have their size never be talked about while being surrounded by women who are always thin and wealth plays a very little role in this. This

Just from what you’ve described, it wouldn’t surprise me. Abusers usually know what behavior they can get away with in public and what to keep at home. It’s possible he’s a horrible creep at home, where the son picks up on it and copies it, and tones it down to “just” psychological abuse, which is harder to pick up on

FB is like the epitome of America’s weird warped morals. Beheadings? Cool. Hate groups? Well alright. OMG A NIPPLE SHUN SHUN SHUN.

Yup. Like I’ve seen guys get made fun of for being fat, but they have to be extremely obese before that occurs. A woman could be just average and get fat comments and hate.
