The accent isn't that bad. I don't know why people keep saying that. Because it isn't that generic non-accent that actors are taught here? Because it doesn't have a strong regional flavor? Because he occasionally drops his Rs like someone from the east coast? We don't know anything about his background so we have no

Colman has said she was far more emotional than the role required. She said she kept crying when she wasn't supposed to because of what the other actors were doing. It may be that Anna Gunn (who I have never cared for) is actually playing it more as it is written on the page…. I just think she has a limited range of

Because they are better trained? They have character? They are not just pretty people with no depth?

The dinner invitation in Broadchurch also was in the middle of a heated argument but was done by both parties sooo much better in that show. Tennant's face was perfect. He was shocked. The exchange was OK here, as it just highlighted how awkward and uncomfortable their relationship truly is… but in Broadchurch it

I think he did change his expression, but it was in profile so not so noticeable. Tennant's forte is his ability to act with his eyes (and his eyebrows, especially the left one)

The combination of LLs and Rs is a bitch for a Scot.

One of my favorite miniseries, ever…. While you are at it, pick up Takin' Over the Asylum, Tennant's first big tv role. It's fabulous. It's only Region 2, but I bought an all-region DVD player cos I watch so many European shows…. (and DVDs are generally cheaper to buy on amazon uk…) or you can watch it on your

Tennant made 4 tv shows, two movies, and acted on stage to sold out audiences for over three months all in the last year. I think he is just a workaholic….

Mark Strong played the same character only with an American accent in the remake of Low Winter Sun.

Intelligence was a disappointment, but I think Josh Holloway was just miscast there.

(She was in Doctor Who, as well—actually many of the actors in Halifax guest starred during Tennant's Doctor Who run)

I did those two in the reverse order. :)

I think James Strong did four in Gracepoint. Euros Lyn also directed some episodes of both. It could be that many of the actors in Broadchurch knew each other and had worked together before.

I loved the first Pirates. The special effects and costumes were exceptional. I loved the characters and the story. I hated every one since, however.

At least with Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways RTD said he had to do a quick rewrite when he learned Chris Eccleston was leaving.
