I loved that line. The next time I'm having a particularly bad day/week/ month I am going to think of all Kevin Sr. went through during this episode and be thankful that my problems are comparatively inconsequential.

I would definitely watch the remaining episodes on your own if you can. I am getting irrationally angry with people on social media that are commenting about the show as though it is pure fiction, I can't imagine watching it with people that feel that way.

Wow. Just, wow. I am very spoiler averse but am thankful that people gave cryptic warnings to prepare for the brutality of this episode. The problem was that after each horrific thing happened, I kept thinking the worst was over and more kept coming. I thought the brutally efficient hanging scene was what I was warned

I am not at all religious but after watching this episode, I have a sudden urge to visit St. Patrick's Cathedral and may pop in this weekend for one final glimpse at the beauty of it, you know, just in case…

It's complicated, to be sure, and I'm especially interested in seeing how Serena Joy is depicted as the series continues.

As awful as their treatment of Offred was, it's impossible for me not to feel pity for the wives. They are just as much victims as all of the women in this world.

I've seen that mentioned but I never watched that show. I also, thankfully, stopped watching Dexter after the fourth season so I missed her on that as well.

The labor scenes were horrific on so many levels and so humiliating for all involved. I don't think I've seen Strahovski in anything previously but she is doing excellent work with very little dialogue.

I knew my grandmother was shadier than she let on. All that baking and knitting was just a cover.

Ooh, I love that for a race horse name.

This is a dangerous link for someone with a sweet tooth like mine!

Carrie Coon is having some serious trouble with technology these days.

If I ever start a band, we'll be called Unfathomable Pinheadery.

Yeah, I think my mom had a similar pair. There aren't many 80s trends I'd like to wear now but I loved those shades.

If you have Amazon Prime, it is currently available for free.

I know you're kidding but he really would! I saw a great exhibit on him recently and it reminded me of some of his fantastic quotes.

I really wanted to continue immediately to episode two but realized I didn't have the strength without a break. I will probably watch the next two this evening or tomorrow but I am very glad this is rolling out weekly after the first few since this is not a show that would be healthy to binge.

I really want a pair of those glasses!

I thought that was pretty amazing. I love how involved Atwood seems to be with the show. I follow her on Instagram and she is always posting images from the show and photos of the cast on and off the set.

I'm not saying we're in serious danger of turning into Gilead in the near future but what Trump and his administration are doing to limit women's rights over their bodies and the rights of POC, immigrants, etc. is far from laughable.
