That's been my theory as well. The guy who was mentioned on the news was David Burton, the same person that Pillar Man (RIP) wrote a letter to last season.

With regard to The Departure, I fully expect the mystery to be left open. The creators have made that pretty clear and the point of the show, at least in my opinion, is how the people left behind deal with what happened. I believe a lot of questions that have arisen will be answered, as they have in past seasons but…
"Don't walk on water too much while I'm gone."
I asked you guys last week to remind me to have tissues ready and noone did so I was woefully unprepared. Carrie Coon is just incredible and it was so great to see her and Regina King in a scene together again. The trampoline was a nice bonus.
Nice catch. That makes sense.
She has a small role in the show (as herself) and is always referred to as BCAMM.
I'm going with him being baked and also an idiot.
I figured he just kept the one (of the two or three dozen mentioned) as a reminder of where it all comes from.
Ok, so I haven't been around much lately but is this really what WOT has come to?! There are two shows mentioned!

Not soon enough. She's been on my list since season one of The Leftovers.
Did anyone else create a disturbing mental image of Trump wandering through JC Penney looking for a suit, while listening to Maurice chat with his psychiatrist?
I was just waiting for him to pull out the "Forever" stamps, all proud of himself for getting the job done.
I know how much thought goes into the details for this show so I should have known it wasn't an error. Thanks for chiming in.
Weekly reminder to check out the show's podcast. This week's episode was surprising hilarious.
Oh no, does this mean I have to cave and watch Coven now?
I'm on the fence about whether she's a spy or not but I really don't see why the actress wouldn't take the role even if it were "just" as Stan's girlfriend. I don't watch TWD and had never heard of her before but I can't see how she would think a multi-episode arc on arguably the most critically acclaimed show on…
If you watch The Americans, you should definitely check out Slate TV's podcast of the show.
Yes, of course, that makes much more sense. I was thinking Chuck was going to use his destruction of the tape as proof of Jimmy's guilt but essentially he was baiting him into breaking and entering.
