I definitely won't be watching again in that case. I liked FF as a kid with creepy Richard Dawson but have no real interest now, especially the dumbed down celeb version. It'll be interesting to see who they have on future episodes though since I think it's only been a few weeks and last night's contestants can hardly

"Rational" is the key word there, I think. I'm sure Trump still thinks he has a chance at NY and he even thinks Manhattanites like him even though he wasn't even able to win the Republican Primary in NY county.

What are your thoughts on FF? Will it always be "celebrities" or was that a one off? I wasn't impressed and thought the speed round was ridiculously easy.

This was the first time I watched the new version and I was surprised that mistake immediately ended the game, especially after Strahan said earlier that if he hears the buzzer, he should keep going. Seems a bit harsh since the preposition rule wasn't clearly stated, although I guess it must have been explained to the

True that he probably doesn't know exactly how bad it has gotten but he knows there are major problems and rather than look into them, he chooses to ignore and avoid.

Sure, sounds fun. Let me know how I can get involved.

Piper wasn't part of the reason the Dominicans, actually all the Latinas, were being racially profiled, she's the entire reason. I disagree that she knew it wouldn't go her way. She went into Piscatella's office with confidence and did ASSUME that it would go her way.

I hadn't even thought of that but it does help put things into perspective.

If they had gone with one of the overtly racist guards, there wouldn't be subtext, it would just be obvious racism. I think they chose Bayley to show that it's not always a conscious decision.

She always had her own group of meth head friends like Leanne and Angie and didn't become friendly with Boo until last season. I don't think we ever saw Tucky eat at the same table with Piper, Nicky an them until this episode.

As I said, I didn't immediately think of the real life cases either but once I saw the comments and articles, I understood why there was some outrage.

Very true. I agree she didn't deserve the branding but I absolutely understand why many of the inmates couldn't stand her.

Sure, after she was knocked off her high horse and brought down to reality where she is not a gangsta with an A.

I agree that's an important parallel to make, however Bayley definitely didn't have half an ounce of weed. In his flashback, he only smoked when his friend gave him a hard time for not wanting to.m

I absolutely agree with the "thrive" portion. In order to make it to a position of a Linda from Purchasing or that awful PR guy, you basically have to be a monster but I wouldn't feel comfortable using such a broad brush with regard to all employees. Many prisons are in out of the way areas where the job market is

Would fingerprints be taken when a prison hires a guard? He mentioned something about a background check, IIRC so I expect he used one of his many identities, knowing the prison wouldn't delve too deep. Now that the FBI is involved, they ran the prints and discovered his aliases?

I agree with much of your comment but just a minor correction. Martha Stewart did not go to the same prison as Piper Kerman. I can't recall the name of it but she was in West Virginia, I believe. In the book, Kerman mentions something about Danbury closing itself to new inmates around the time Stewart was sentenced,

There is no death penalty in NY but I expect she will be going to Max regardless of what happens next.

I think in general, they went a little too broad on everyone at MCC. Yes, we get that private prisons are an evil of society but making every individual employee evil in their own right made it difficult to believe.

Dammit, now I desperately want Mads Mikkelsen to be the new counselor for next season.
