Basically rehydrated corn syrup solids. Sounds wonderful for triggering diabetes and other inflammatory fun. No thanks.

Second the old dish rags advice!
I’m always stuck with a shriveled lemon half or two these days, and before I toss them, I use them to clean the microwave- really does work, and I feel like at least those unused halves don’t completely go to waste.
I admit this does work. In a pinch you can just do this with plain water in a microwave safe cup. No need to buy a lemon - I know we don’t often have lemons sitting around in the kitchen.
Honestly I feel like your post should be added to the article. I’ve lived abroad for 10 years or so and I agree that there’s worse things than “Time differences” or “laws are not the same”. Honestly these are the most important/unexpected problems they could come up with?
It shouldn’t be crazy to anyone — It reveals that any single event or gathering anywhere has the potential to initiate an outbreak, no matter who.
Im in a relationship now (about six months in and its going fabulously!) so we are quarantining together, but before I met him I went on several shitty dates with guys I met on dating apps. Most ghosted me or would tell me some variation of “Im not emotionally ready for a relationship” after stringing me along.
It was the best of the times, it was the worst of times...
Not sure why. Caviar comes in tins, and it doesn’t get much fancier than that.
I love grilled scallions. When they’re perfect, young enough to be tender, buttered and on grill over medium flame, they are amazing. But raw onions of any form are just too overpowering for me. I taste nothing but onion the rest of the day and can’t even enjoy a dessert.
Oh Claire, you know us so well. Yes, please more articles on charcuterie boards! It’s been a bit of a thing for me lately. First Thanksgiving, and recently a date-night at home.
I’ve decided the next time I do one, I’ll make crustini instead of simple bread slices (buy the baguet at Whole Foods and have them slice it…
It’s common among expats. Getting a new passport not only takes time and often multiple trips to cities other than where you're staying it means an even longer time renewing work and residence permits. We keep our passports until they're utterly useless or expired.
I deal with passports all the time and agree with you. Many countries attach the old passport to your new passport and I’ve seen four of them all stapled together. Why is the airline going through your passport? That doesn’t make sense. The only people who should have any interest in where you’ve been are the customs…
I thought it was a requirement to be a bored dickhead to be hired as an immigration officer
I have stamps in my passport that are completely unrecognizable. Whoever denied that woman boarding is just a bored dickhead.
A driver’s license is a fundamentally different document. Passports are made for stamps and how often does anyone dig through your passport and question the contents? I have a fifty plus page passport that is mostly full. It has unreadable smudges of ink that were meant to be stamos, random shit stapled inside, and…
I dispute that ‘most’ people don’t carry cash anymore. But, having a Venmo balance is just like having some pocket cash, so if you have a small balance it shouldn’t be a big deal in that aspect. On the other hand, I don’t like a company that isn’t a financial institution ‘holding’ my money. Lastly, everyone should…
Gen X here who has Millennial friends that love Venmo. Oddly enough its used when we’ve gathered in social settings where cash could easily be collected.
Wait... wouldn’t basted eggs require me to continually spoon the hot fat over the eggs?
