Almost everything to spring from Cap'n Jazz has truly inspired me. From Tim Kinsella's oftentimes weirder entries like Joan of Arc, to Davey Von Bohlen's Maritime and Vermont, to me they all strike a chord that I frequently revisit.

Love this band so, so much; love this new album. Go see these guys if they happen to cruise past your town!

Oh my goodness, when did Conan get so old?! He looks like he's aged exactly 1 million years.

I wasn't referring to Phil, he definitely sings prominently on a lot of the tracks and is considered the lead at this point. John left the band two albums ago, so now the singers include Phil and Will Knauer (the guy typically mixed out), who I saw singing live touring their last album.

I enjoy this record a lot. At first I was taken aback by the 2nd singer (guitarist turned singer) taking the lead a few times, and his voice essentially mixed out (maybe it's bad?). But then I got a sort of My Bloody Valentine vibe, with super crunchy, up front arrangements and sort of whisper-y vocals hidden in the
