Ah. Because there is nothing they could have done to the games that would appeal to adult fans and kids? Why not add stuff that draws in old fans too?

No. If you don’t like StarFox 64 you won’t enjoy StarFox. It’s even more simplistic and lacks stuff like “all range mode” and tank levels. The framerate is usually around 10-15fps.

No. It’s a completely different rain effect from the original. The Digital Foundry video about GTA 3 DE talks about it.

Ah, but RE4 led to the kinda mediocre RE6* which led to them making RE7 which is a fantastic survival horror game and IMO the scariest of all REs.

Skyrim is the exception. Bioshock Infinite? No, PS3 is actually smoother. I trust Digital Foundry more than you.

You missed out. Early multi-plats sucked but later ones were generally much better. Blu-ray also meant that you got good quality FMVs and higher quality audio whereas 360 games typically compressed those things to get it all stuffed onto a single 9GB DVD. It had a more unique library than the 360 getting more

I don't think so. It kinda sucked but it did let them get the price down enough to really compete with the 360 and eventually outsell it.

I care because I already own Diamond and Platinum. If it's literally just Diamond/Pearl with 3D graphics and Exp. Share forced on then I'll pass. HeartGold/ SoulSilver and OmegaRuby/AS had a lot of added content and didn't have crap I don't want like Exp. Share forced on...

Um. Ring Fit Adventure is a whole new title and is in the top 10...

The problem with the PSP 2000/3000 is there is no easy way to use an external controller. You have to use the PSP with its cable attached to actually control anything. The PSP Go added Bluetooth and lets you pair a DS3. Of course then you give up UMD games.

Nah. Haven’t bought. Won’t buy unless they drastically fix the service somehow with either way more games or a better price. And I’m a weirdo that bought a Wii U and a 3DS on launch day.

IDK had they doubled down harder on Wii U-like systems or the GameCube-like power competitors I’m not so sure. Their handhelds helped save the day there but you can’t spend millions on game dev and console development for things nobody is buying forever. They have money in the bank but still. If the Switch successor

The steam deck is massive. It has literal controller grips in the back. The controller halves are huge.

The rear touch pad was awful. Besides Tearaway it was basically a terrible button or two. Good riddance to it. Loved the Vita but they really should have left the touch pad off and just added R2 and L2 similar to ZR and ZL on the New 3DS.

You have to make your own backups which is easier than it was in the past but it still requires obscure devices that cost money. Some carts are still tricky to dump too. A lot of the really popular games for each system go for stupid money these days too, like hundreds of dollars in some cases.

That datamine is so vague as to mean nothing. The Playstation Classic was also datamined and hackers found references to games like Tomb Raider and Crash Bandicoot that were obviously never on it. It could just be Nintendo tested their emulators with 38 N64 games and 52 Genesis ones, doesn’t mean we'll ever see them

Then they should showcase that. Right now they have 1 3rd party N64 title available and it’s Winback. Not Jet Force Gemini, not Perfect Dark, not Star Wars: Rogue Squadron or Shadows of the Empire, not Turok or Crusin’ USA but Winback. Genesis isn’t much better, there’s like 5 3rd party titles and most are already

You can still buy the PS2 versions on PS3 right now, although you can't get the PS2 version of San Andreas separately.

That's EXACTLY what this is. They aren't remakes. They're just HD versions of GTA with new lighting effects and controls.

Previous similar collections of PS2 era games have been cheaper. More like $40-50. Jak and Daxter HD, Ratchet and Clank HD, God of War HD, Metal Gear Solid HD etc.
