It’s Japan, it’s probably short grain. That said, it really depends what you are eating with the rice and how you are eating it. I find short grain way better if I am just eating rice with little to no sauce on it.

The NES top loader is flawed though. Although it cleans up the NES big issues of reliability of big connectors and lockout chips it throws away video quality in the process. RF output is lame.
