It’s the height of irony that the nicest, gentlest person at my riding school barn, a place full of “Karens”, who has done all the social distancing, is worried for people’s health, and will make you a mask if you want one, and keeps extras for people, is actually named Karen. But I digress.

Yes. I go horse riding and while many of the adult riders wear them, the barn owners have a distinct disdain for masks and now are boycotting Costco over its mask policy. (They have 8 kids, so good luck to them.) The husband was interested in masks at first, but the wife is die-hard MAGA, so I think she turned him…
