The article is saying that movie studios should know better. They shouldn’t be censored, but they should know better by themselves.

A studio choosing not to make a movie is not censorship. Disney deciding not to release Song of the South because it was racist is not censorship, it’s just common sense.

The article isn’t stating that about The Jungle Book either. Read the article and not just the title: it’s stating that we need to place Kipling and the book in their proper context.

Uh, yeah, it was. That is a true statement right there.

What kind of normal human being even whips out the word “whores” to use, unless they have some bizarre sexist way that they view a very real problem in government? It’s not a common word. It shouldn’t leap to mind for anyone, except those who conflate sexuality with corruption on a very core level. It’s not even

The United States has virtually nothing to offer in terms of hard-hitting political media.

I feel like being unable to afford food likely means I'm unable to afford recreational drugs. If the wealthy folks in Wisconsin tested positive for drugs, would the state force them to give food to the government?

Everyone knows that Sanders supporters are all condescending straight white dudes, or so a condescending straight white dude Hilary supporter explained to me and a group of non-straight white dude Sanders supporters.

It might be liberating or therapeutic to confess your dirty laundry, skeletons, and so on, but certainly not “safe”

Jesus. Do you follow me around saying this? I have explained to you that my husband is an American, that we have residences in both countries, and I am currently working on citizenship so I can vote too, not that it’s really any of your concern. You already know that though, you just like school yard games.

I thought this a comment board. I thought we were allowed to have different opinions as long as we were reasonable.

I’m a woman, and I’m not a troll, and I think it’s pretty clear who likes to fight, Mary.

Yeah, seeing what happened with Nader put the fear of god in me when it comes to spoilers. It makes me really wish we had instant runoff ballots. (Where you get to rank the candidates, instead of just voting for one.) Hillary will have my vote if she’s the nominee, no doubt.

Hooo boy. See? It’s just as bad when both sides do it, but there’s only a catchy term for the obnoxious Bernie supporters. What are these other assholes? HillaryHacks?

No, that’s what I’m addressing. You’re talking about Sanders supporters as a monolith, and as equivalent to the Tea Party, to a Sanders supporter who is neither. You must realize on some level that the majority of Sanders supporters think harassing people is an asinine and unacceptable tactic that fully undermines

That doesn’t actually contradict what I said. And what’s more, things can be under attack and ALSO be part of the “establishment.” The “establishment” is a deeply subjective (and, by itself, morally neutral) designation.

I think context is important with the Planned Parenthood establishment thing and the charity thing. The Planned Parenthood thing was within the context of trying to talk about the fact that Clinton has benefited from the support of the Democratic establishment, while Bernie started out with little support or

I’m with you on the behavior of a lot of Sanders supporters ... but what you’ve described is a problem you have with Sanders supporters. I don’t get the conflation of the man with some of his shithead supporters. A lot of Trump supporters are shitheads, too, but that isn’t why I’m not a Trump supporter ...

I’ll never cease to be amazed by how quickly people forget that superdelegates jumped ship from Clinton to Obama in 2008 once it became clear that he was winning.

There’s no conspiracy. If Bernie were actually winning (or if he manages some major upsets in the next few big primaries) more superdelegates would join his
