Robert E. Lee actually freed his slaves before the end of the war, and before northern generals like Sherman and Grant did. Evidently, he thought it was wrong before the Union decided it was.

Confederate uniform was grey and it looked just like the Union uniform except color. Do they not teach history in most of the US?
