There was an article not too long ago on how long it takes people to regain their sensibilities doing complex tasks. I’m sure in his case it was longer than 11 seconds. He’s older and was likely preoccupied with his passenger.

I’m not necessarily a badge whore, I drive a sensible mid-size sedan with minor luxury options now. But... I did own a Mercedes before, and I damn well loved it. The quality was better at the time (8 years ago) than my current mid-size American sedan. Less squeak and more sleek.
