I hate to see statements like this. There are a lot of good people there; they just don’t make the news.

I believe groups who have been oppressed, denied the vote, etc. should stick together. Always very sad and surprised when it doesn’t happen that way. I guess I am naive in that way.

DC is no envelope-pushing site of high fashion; most business people are dressed in recognizable mall-fashions of Ann Taylor or Brooks Bros or something around that level (lots of Lululemon for off-work hours). I finally saw my first man-bun the other day after hearing about them for years.

I see a lot of “woman gets nude to protest something or other” (especially on the HuffPo, which loves to cover those stories) but do not understand that. To me, women are already sexualized and treated as objects for men to gawk at rather than listen to, so “I’ll just get naked and that’ll show them” misses the mark…
